Studio 285 Color Pricing Philosophy

At Studio 285, we believe in being both transparent and intentional with how we price your color services. That’s why we use a professional salon technology called Vish—a smart color scale system that ensures you only pay for exactly what’s used on your hair.
Unlike most salons that charge a flat rate no matter your hair length, thickness, or color needs, we don’t believe in one-size-fits-all pricing. Here’s how it works:
Your Color Appointment Will Show Two Charges:
1. Color Session
This is the base service price, determined by your stylist’s level. For example, a senior stylist color session is $218.
2. Product Charge
This is the exact cost of the Davines color used during your visit, measured down to the gram by our Vish scale system. Nothing is estimated or inflated. If your hair requires more color, you’ll see that reflected here. If it takes less, you’ll pay less.
