Terms of Service
These terms apply to everyone who books, receives a service at, or uses the website of Studio 285 in Evans, Georgia.
1. Agreement and booking
By booking an appointment, buying a service, product or gift card, or using studio285.com, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Refund Policy, No-Show Policy and Privacy Policy. If these terms and a posted policy conflict, the posted policy controls for that topic.
Appointments can be booked online, by phone or by text at 706-945-0175.
A valid credit card is required to hold every appointment.
You will receive a confirmation and reminder by text or email. Please check that your service, stylist, date and time are correct.
Some services (color corrections, extensions, major changes) require a consultation before booking. We may reschedule or change a service that was booked without one.
Clients must be 18 or older to book. Guests under 18 need a parent or guardian to book and consent to chemical services.
2. Cancellations, no-shows and late arrivals
Our stylists are not paid while a chair sits empty, so we ask for at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Call or text 706-945-0175.
Same-day cancellation or no call, no show: your card on file will be charged 50% of the scheduled service cost.
Repeat no-shows: prepayment will be required to book future appointments.
Emergencies: we review these case by case.
Late arrivals: if you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may shorten your service, reschedule you, or treat the visit as a same-day cancellation.

3. Pricing and payment
Prices on our website and menu are starting prices. Your final price depends on hair length, density, condition, time and product used, and your stylist will review it with you before or during your service.
Quotes given online, by text or by phone are estimates until your stylist sees your hair in person.
Payment is due in full when your service is finished. We accept cash and major credit and debit cards.
Gratuity is not included in service prices and is at your discretion.
Purchased gift cards are valid for 5 years from the date of purchase. Holiday promotional and bonus cards given free with a purchase expire 12 months from the date issued, as shown on the card. Gift cards and service credits have no cash value and are not refundable.
These gift card terms follow federal law: the Credit CARD Act of 2009, 15 U.S.C. § 1693l-1, and Regulation E, 12 CFR § 1005.20 (CFPB summary).
Products may be returned unopened within 14 days with a receipt. Opened products are final sale.
We may update prices at any time. Price changes do not apply to appointments already confirmed.
4. Service results, adjustments and extensions
We stand behind our work and want the chance to make it right in-house. Hair is a living material, so results depend on your hair's history and condition, and we cannot promise an exact match to a photo.
Text the front desk at 706-945-0175 within 5 business days of your appointment. Please do not contact your stylist directly about a service concern.
Send clear, natural-light photos of your hair.
If needed, management will schedule an in-salon evaluation with your original stylist.
If an adjustment is approved, it is booked through the front desk and done by Studio 285.
Refunds are not guaranteed and are issued only at management's discretion. Coverage is void if your hair or extensions are colored, cut, chemically treated or otherwise altered by another salon or stylist, or if services were arranged with a stylist outside the front desk.
Extensions: Studio 285 guarantees only Salty Locks Hair Extensions installed and maintained by our team. Normal wear, such as gradual dryness, fading and the need for maintenance or replacement, is not a defect. Damage from misuse, neglect or improper home care is not covered.

5. Client responsibilities, health and photos
Tell us everything that affects your hair and scalp: allergies, sensitivities, medications, pregnancy, scalp conditions, recent color, relaxers, keratin or box dye. We are not responsible for reactions or results caused by information you did not share.
Patch and strand tests: we may require one before a chemical service. If you decline, you accept the risk of a reaction.
Home care: follow your stylist's aftercare instructions and use professional products, especially with extensions.
Children and guests: for everyone's safety, please do not bring children or extra guests who are not receiving a service unless arranged in advance.
Conduct: we may refuse or end a service for abusive, unsafe or disrespectful behavior, or if you arrive impaired.
Photos and video: we may photograph or film your finished hair for our portfolio and social media. We will not show your face without your consent. Tell your stylist if you do not want any photos taken.
6. Website, liability and legal terms
Website use. The content on studio285.com, including text, photos, videos and logos, belongs to Studio 285 and may not be copied or reused without written permission. We try to keep prices, hours and service details accurate but may correct errors at any time. Links to outside sites, including online booking and payment providers, are governed by those sites' own terms.
Communications. By booking, you agree to receive appointment confirmations and reminders by text and email. Marketing messages are sent only with your consent, and you can reply STOP to opt out at any time. Message and data rates may apply.
Limitation of liability. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Studio 285's total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential damages, or for personal items left at the salon.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Columbia County, Georgia.
Changes. We may update these terms at any time. The version posted on this page, with its "last updated" date, applies to every appointment booked after that date.
