First-Time Guest Guide
Before You Book

✓ Be honest about your hair history — recent box dye, henna, keratin treatments, and previous lightening all affect what's possible
✓ Set realistic expectations — dramatic transformations may require multiple sessions
✓ Book a consultation first for blonding, vivid, or corrective services
The Day Before
✓ Wash your hair 24–48 hours before — clean but not freshly washed hair colors best
✓ Skip purple shampoo or clarifying treatments the week before
✓ Avoid heavy oil treatments that can block color absorption
✓ Get a good night's sleep — long color appointments require patience
What to Bring
Inspiration photos — already shared via text, but bring them in too
A book, headphones, or your laptop (services run 3–5 hours)
A water bottle and a snack
A dark shirt with a wide neckline so you don't pull it over fresh color
After Your Appointment
✓ Your hair will look its absolute best the day of your appointment
✓ Color will settle and soften in the following 48 hours — this is normal
✓ Wait 48–72 hours before your first wash to let color set
✓ Use color-safe Davines products from day one
Helpful Reminders
Your credit or debit card must be placed on file to finalize your appointment once your estimate is approved.
Cards are not charged in advance — they’re simply held to secure your spot.

No-Show Policy
We understand life happens. Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Missed appointments or late cancellations may result in a service charge.
Refund Policy
All service and product sales at Studio 285 are final. If you experience any concerns with your service, please contact us within 7 days so we can make it right.
